APPGEN Development System is a complete 4GL development environment usedto produce comprehensive business applications on the UNIX platform.This 4GL is tightly coupled with its own Pick-like variable lengthrelational database.Prototyping is quick and easy, and any prototype can easily be built uponto result in a finished application.Programmer-written subroutines in C can be linked up with the APPGENsystem. Rich libraries of APPGEN and C functions are included, along withthe necessary object and make files.The development environment also includes a documentation generator thatproduces user reference manuals automatically, while providing onlinehelp for any applications created.Also included with the 4GL is the APPGEN Query Language (AQL), which letsusers prepare adhoc reports and screen inquiries.Applications written with the APPGEN Development System are transparentlyportable across all UNIX/XENIX/AIX machines.
